Affordable Housing

The Foundation is a long-time supporter of nonprofits that provide home repair, new home construction, innovative design, education and advocacy. We are a founding funder of the Maggie Walker Community Land Trust and have advanced manufactured housing’s potential as an affordable housing solution. In 2021, the Foundation supported Project:HOMES’ purchase of Bermuda Estates, a mobile home park in Chesterfield County, and has provided ongoing support of the development of high quality, affordable mobile home units.

Through our partnerships with area Habitat for Humanity affiliates and other housing nonprofits like Virginia Supportive Housing, Urban Hope and Better Housing Coalition, we are supporting innovative affordable housing developments throughout the region.

Partners include: Better Housing Coalition, Goochland Habitat for Humanity, Hanover and King William Habitat for Humanity, Housing Forward Virginia, Maggie Walker Community Land Trust, Partnership for Housing Affordability, Powhatan Habitat for Humanity, project:HOMES, Rebuilding Together Richmond, Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity, Virginia Housing Alliance, Virginia Supportive Housing and Urban Hope.
